Mission

We will deliver top quality educational opportunities, without economic or geographic restrictions to health, wellness, dietetics and exercise professionals world wide by providing free weekly webinars with nationally and internationally recognized experts on topics important to professionals, our profession and the well-being of the individuals and groups they serve.

History

Michaela Conley, CEO and founder of HPCareer.Net and her team began providing weekly webinars in early 2009.   The webinar series solved a number of issues faced by our organization, our customers and professionals during the massive global economic downturn with associated budget cuts and job losses.

Lemonade from Lemons: Because there were fewer jobs available, we were less busy and able to redirect a portion of our human resources to focus on this new venture.

Business Budget Cuts

Our customers are able to save money on continuing professional education for their health promotion staff by encouraging them to participate in live and/or archived webinars. Individual professionals benefit regardless of their employment status by expanding their knowledge directly from the nationally and internationally recognized experts we select to present each week.

Sustainability Plan

Beginning in 2010 Health Promotion LIVE was granted the authority to offer continuing education credits through the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC) for Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES) and the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).

Being able to offer continuing education credits for a small fee ($10-15) ensures the program’s long term viability by generating enough money to cover basic operational costs.
