Using Positive Psychology in the Workplace
Positive psychology researchers have been continually turning out research since the beginnings of positive psychology in 1996. Much of this research has found its way into the popular press and into a number of popular books, especially on the science of happiness. So how can worksites benefit from these research results?
This presentation will quickly review the positive psychology arena and then look, in particular, at how worksites can benefit from the application of Positive Psychology principles. The worksite application of Positive Psychology will be examined from both the organizational and individual perspectives. Where possible, reference will be made to the health and wellness applications of Positive Psychology within an organizational setting.
